Subscription field missing text

Hi Steffano,
I got a problem with subscribe field.
I don’t use widget only form code paste into right place.
I wan’t to have in my field text “put your e-mail here”, but nothing works.
When I’m using widget it appeas, so I think I should put a line of code into standard form code, but I have no idea what should I write….
Help, Please!
