I had a developer take a look at the problem and his answer was ~ “I’ve had a look and it seems that the plugin Header and Footer doesn’t correctly check where it is injecting it’s stuff … the code on its settings page http://electionpartner.co.uk/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=header-footer/options.php under the “Post content” tab is injected on pages that are actually not posts. It seems it has a limitation here, probably better to adjust the templates directly …”
