Reply To: Automatically subscribe WordPress users not working – or I did something wrong

I set it to “Yes, force subscription” here is a screen shot of my setting:

I’m wondering if I don’t understand how this is supposed to work?

The name of this feature suggests to me that anyone that registers on WP would be added to the newsletter.  But, in the meantime, I’ve been googling this and saw a discussion in another forum and I’m thinking this option only adds a pre-checked checkbox during registration?

Then, if this is the case would I not see it here?

P.S.  I want to customize the log-in but saw hundreds of plug-ins if you can recommend one that works well with your newsletter check-box I would appreciate it!
