I posted this on the WP plugin support page for HyperCache; I know you’re busy and that this is not your main job… but I’m hoping you’d get to see this and be able to help.
I’m getting errors since updating to WP 4.01 — only with HyperCache activated — as follows:
1. NextGen Gallery displays the gallery incorrectly: the page formatting of the main gallery page and the individual galleries are off, as if the CSS code is getting scrambled — not completely, but enough to be wrong.
2. The captcha in Contact Form 7 loses functionality (displaying the word ‘captach’ instead of the image of a numeric value).
When using the F5 key to refresh the browser, it uploads a correct page and then it reverts back to a malformed page (“malformed” only with respect to the 2 problems cited above) and stays malformed.
Both of the plugins above were updated after WP 4.0.1 was issued.
I did the following several times and was unable to correct the problem: Updated the individual pages and the NextGen main gallery page; emptied the cache; disabled and re-enabled HyperCache.
To make sure I’m saying it clearly, here’s the summary of the problem:
1. When I’m on a browser from which I’m logged into the site (no caching), everything displays perfectly.
2. On a browser that I’m not logged in to the site, it displays incorrectly; but as soon as I deactivate HyperCache, everything displays properly as before WP 4.0.1.
The website has many posts and it cannot function for long without a working cache (but I also need to have the contact page available, and the galleries displaying properly). I like HyperCache very much and hope to be able to use it. I hope you can look into this and let me know. If it helps, I can send you screenshots of the problem.
