I noticed today that I had a bunch of unconfirmed subscribers. Upon further investigation, it is because the confirmation email was never sent (I have double opt in). I have done a number of tests with the following results…
1) I have used myself as a test subscriber and confirm that confirm emails are not being sent.
2) I have tried sending a newsletter to test subscribers and they do not send. The last newsletter sent was in August and it worked perfectly.
3) I have run diagnostic emails to multiple emails and the diagnostic emails are sent successfully.
4) I have changed the content encoding to Base 64.
5) The sending email is a confirmed email…BUT the hosting is at Go Daddy but the domain is at 1&1.
6) SMTP is off but it has been off since I installed Newsletter with many successful sends.
7) I have tried sending a number of newsletters with the word subscribe and without and completely blank newsletters with just a generic subject and none of them are sent.
8) When I go to the stats of the test newsletters it says that total sent are 0, when it should be sending to the test email.
9) Again, the diagnostic emails work.
I am at a loss of what to try next, so your help is appreciated.
